Hand embroidered, hand pieced, and hand quilted, this wonderfully timeworn quilt features dozens of redwork scenes depicting early American life. Figures fishing, hunting, spinning, sailing, working, and gathering are stitched across white cotton blocks, alongside homes, ships, landscapes, and a patriotic American flag. Deep blue sashing and small red-and-white corner accents create a striking Americana palette and frame each embroidered scene like a page from an old storybook.
